Carl Petersson is a dedicated pedagogue and university-level piano lecturer with extensive international teaching experience. He has served as Piano Lecturer at Changsha University and Wrocław University, and has assisted professors’ classes at the Penderecki Academy of Music in Kraków, where he earned his PhD in Piano Performance.

His students perform regularly in recitals and consistently achieve outstanding results in Royal Conservatory of Music examinations, frequently scoring above 90 percent. They are prize winners in both local and international competitions, including the Kronberg International Piano Competition for Young Pianists, the Chopin Northwest Piano Competition in Seattle, and the Canada Music Competition (CMC).

Students from his studio have been accepted into leading music institutions across North America and Europe, including the University of British Columbia, the University of Toronto, McGill University, the University of Ottawa, the Royal College of Music in London, the Royal Danish Academy of Music in Copenhagen, the Royal College of Music in Stockholm, and the Karol Lipiński Academy of Music in Wrocław. Many have gone on to perform with orchestras in Canada and Germany, and students from his studio have performed at Carnegie Hall in New York.

Carl is regularly invited to give lectures, masterclasses, and to serve on competition juries.

Lessons take place on a Steinway Model D concert grand piano in the heart of Richmond, conveniently located near Capstan Station SkyTrain, with convenient parking directly outside the studio.
